Our Students Presented Their Research at Fire Protection 2026 conference

At the beginning of the new semester, our laboratory traditionally participated in the two-day Fire Protection 2026 conference in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

This year, we were represented by two speakers, Tomáš Pavlík and Jiří Bohuslav, who presented their work on Modelling the Thermal Decomposition of Solids Using the Scaling Pyrolysis (SPyro) Approach and the Use of Water Curtains for Mitigating Hazardous Gas Releases, respectively. For both of them, this was their first presentation at a scientific conference, and they did an excellent job!

The conference was also a great opportunity to meet our colleagues and friends from the Technical Institute of Fire Protection in Prague, as well as a numerous group from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU in Prague and UCEEB. It was a pleasure to see everyone again and exchange ideas in person.

We wish everyone a successful start to the new semester!
